Does Carsoft Do
This is very cool. I didn't realize I could check it this easily. It would cost around $100 for the cluster locally, according to car-part.com. If I bought the car it needs it anyway, and if I don't I'll have to sell it on ebay. They go for $50 on ebay, so I'd probably lose about $50 or so on the deal if I don't buy the car.

Now, just for curiosity, do you think the Carsoft thing would be able to help read that coding plug somehow? A dealership claimed they could read the miles for me in Kilometers with their computer test, if I paid them a computer diagnostic fee. Problem on this one is that the LED isn't lighting up on the second digit correctly, only shows the bottom two horizontal LED lights. So it says 1=6,345 miles. Could be any number that uses the two lower horizontal lines, i.e. 2, 3, 5, 6, or 8. Would replacing a bulb help this?

Okay, I've never heard of that. On every one that I've seen, including mine, the whole thing is totally unlit.

You can still make out the readout if you look really closely. Maybe you do need a new cluster then, but I'm in no way experienced with this stuff.
