Commonly most of the German people are Christian both Protestant and Catholic. German people are commonly known to have a high individualism and are formal most of the time. Few things German people value is political, economic and social and also the behavior of people. However, in general when most people hear the word “German” most will have a thought of organize and tidiness. Whether it is business appointment or social, being late is considered rude in Germany.

In Thailand it is common to talk about personal life stuff wherever a person feels like talking, in a restaurant, lunch in a work place, or even in a party. However, in Germany it is different. Business and personal life are separated, it is not appropriate to talk about personal life in business place and talk about business issues in social places. Many Americans and British people were surprised that Germans usually greet each other with their last names even if they have known each other for years in the work place.

Friendship in Germany is quite different from any other places in the world, German people usually have a small circle of friends but those are ones that last for life. Their friendship grew much slower than other countries but is often tighter.
