Wow Patch.mpq

I made a thread a couple of days ago, saying that i could not play the cataclysm trial because i had an error, and a blue explained to me that the error was because the client was missing some patch files, so i decided to manually install them. I was able to install these two without any problems WoW-4.0.0.12911-to-4.0.1.13164-enGB-patch and WoW-4.0.1.13164-to-4.0.1.13205-enGB-patch but now the other patches i have left to install are.MPQ patches, so i tried to put them in the updates folder or the main folder and run the blizzard updater.exe like i used to, but they dont seem to work. If anyone has any idea on how to install them please let me know. The patches i have yet to install are the following. Wow-4-Win-final.MPQ wow-5-Win-final.MPQ wow-3-Win-final.MPQ wow-update-13287.MPQ wow-update-13329.MPQ wow-update-13596.MPQ wow-update-13623.MPQ thank you! Hi I've also tried to manually install all the patches since Cataclysm on a pc (connection is far too slow to directly download 9GB total patches!). I downloaded them and got WoW-4.0.0.12911-to-4.0.1.13164-enGB-patch and WoW-4.0.1.13164-to-4.0.1.13205-enGB-patch, which I also installed with no problems at all; plus all these.mpq files that I'm now stuck with wow-update-13287.MPQ wow-update-13329.MPQ wow-update-13596.MPQ wow-update-13623.MPQ wow-3-Win-final.MPQ there's no wow-4-Win-final.MPQ and wow-5-Win-final.MPQ though my pc is not able to install mpq files since apparently there's no application to treat them:( could you tell me how to fix this please?

I get the following error after the new 8mb patch, after it is done downloading (which is instantly now that it's done it once on the original attempt): Blizzard Updater was unable to start up. The file 'Data enGB base-enGB.mpq' could not be found. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support.

1) I DO NOT want to resintall the game. Plus, after patching, it would be the same exact thing it is now, because I have US disks (this shouldn't affect anything with EU WoW because it was working before this patch). It takes 36+ hours to install the game and download Cata because I don't have the Cata disks, only everything else. Also, I don't have enough disk space even at 30GB on a spare drive with only WoW on it, because of the ridiculous need for 9mb of free space available for whatever goes on during patching.

Patch

I literally can't run the launcher post-4.1 because it always tells me I am out of space. I have to run the game off WoW.exe, and any new patches I tend to have to delete the cache folder. I have no addons installed and always move the screen shots off the drive, not that they take up much space. 2) I have the US version of the file it's looking for, if it cares, but changing settings back to US WoW doesn't help. As already mentioned, I had been able to run EU WoW just fine with a US install (but an EU account). As soon as 4.1 hit, and all that finally got properly patched, the game's internal language was completely changed to German. I did not download the German language pack, nor could I get the game to accept changing back to English even though I made the changes properly and got the message that the game needed restarted for changes to take effect.

After several fails and still having the game in a language I can't read (I used memory and Google translate to get as far as I did with the menus), I was able to change it in config.wtf thanks to someone else's post. I have now changed the 'locale' setting back to enUS, instead of enGB (the 4.1 patch had set it to enDE for no reason). Yes, the only chars I have on my EU WoW account are on a German server, but I have obviously chosen to continue to play the game in English and did not do anything to install the German language pack by choice.

The game is currently unplayable due to this new error. I already had ridiculous problems trying to set up my EU account. I basically got banned as soon as I paid for Classic and BC (Blizz does not want my money?).

The official tech email said something to the effect of 'disabled for security reasons.' .Apparently I look like a China gold farmer with my ultra-polite /reply macro my friend wrote me in German, stating I speak English and to please use English if something is needed of me. That whole thing eventually got settled, but now I can't play the game at all.

Tired of these rushed patches and half-completed expansions. I doubt deleting the cache folder will help this time. I wondered if that would work, but I was afraid it'd bork the game up worse and.require. a true reinstall or something. And with 36+ hours on the line for a reinstall, I wasn't wanting to try it myself. O.o.runs off to give it a shot.

Thank you for giving it a go! Edit: GAH now it wants the DE version!! I never installed the German language pack (by choice anyways). Here's hoping it likes the US copy. ^^;; - yeah it did work, and now I'm on a 1.9 GB patch downloading at 70kb/s.

And my friend tells me this is odd, she only had the small patch. At least the launcher isn't telling me I don't have enough space.sigh. For now, the problem is fixed. Will see what happens after whatever is downloading now. Followup: No clue what the 1.9 GB patch was, but things seem fine now.
